As we were preparing for our first card-making workshop last month, we were tasked to think of a special gift that we could give to the ladies during the icebreaker...something unique that would incorporate their event theme (Chucks, Crowns and Pearls) in a cohesive way.  I was inspired by a thought of our grandmother who loved to wear hats to church. She was always sharp in her church outfits. She had so many beautiful hats in her closet. I remember one year for her birthday I bought several hat boxes to give to her. But there were never enough boxes to hold all of the many hats that she owned.  Our beloved grandmother lived to be 100 years old. What a blessing!…
What an amazing and creative weekend we had a few weeks back! Our very FIRST card workshop with a cause is in the books! We are beyond grateful for traveling mercies to Arlington, VA and to Mount Olive Baptist Church for entrusting Scrappy Card Sisters with this awesome community-based opportunity. We pray the Easter greeting cards made during the workshop will be a blessing to the community nursing homes. Thank you Trustee VJ and other members of the Crowns, Pearls & Chucks Brunch Committee, and to Mount Olive Baptist Church, Arlington, VA.
